Újabb hiánypótló mű jelent meg a napokban rovásírással. Az Egri csillagok után, mely főként a felső tagozatos általános iskolásokat és a felnőtteket célozta meg, elkészült Illyés Gyula Hét meg hét magyar népmese című kötete is, melyből a gyerekek tanulhatnak meg hamar rovásírást olvasni.

Első pillantásra egy modern japán tiniregény hangulatát kelti Illyés Gyula „Hét meg hét magyar népmese” című rovásírásos kötete. A szerző és a cím rovással van ábrázolva, a grafika azonban manga stílusban készült el, mely kicsit zavaróan hat. Nagy szemű emberek, tipikus távol keleti figurák egy olyan könyv borítóján, amit ha kinyitunk, a magyar őstörténet egy szeletét pillantjuk meg.

Az egyébként gyönyörű borítórajzot Ócsai Angéla készítette, ahogy a belső grafikákat is, hisz mindegyik meséhez tartozik egy-egy illusztráció. Ami azt illeti, a belső rajzokat már csak a legérzékenyebbek tarthatják zavarónak, hisz itt már csak ritkán ütközik ki a japán stílus, akkor is harmóniában áll a témával.

A betűk ugyanazok, mint az Egri csillagokban – nyomtatott rovásjelek. Ez esetben azonban a méretük jóval nagyobb, hogy a célközönség, a gyerekek is könnyen olvashassák a meséket, melyekből 14-et tartalmaz a kemény kötésű, igényes kötet.
