20 éve január 22. a Magyar Kultúra Napja. 187 éve, 1823-ban ezen a napon fejezte be Kölcsey Ferenc nemzeti imánk, a Himnusz írását.

E nap tiszteletére a 2010-ben a Palóc Társaság immár 14. alkalommal hirdet pályázatot a szülőföldhöz való hűség megörökítésére, a magyarságtudat elmélyítésére, a magyar fiatalok anyanyelvi képességeinek fejlesztésére és tehetségének kibontakoztatására.

a pályázaton az általános iskolák felső tagozatosai és középiskolás diákok vehetnek részt akár több dolgozattal is;
a dolgozatok terjedelme alapiskolásoknál legkevesebb egy, középiskolásoknál legkevesebb három, kettes sortávolsággal, 12-es betűnagysággal írott A/4-es oldal;
