A gárda ízig-vérig magyar tulajdonosával nemrégiben jelent meg interjú a handball.hu oldalon, melyben Gellén András őszintén vall magyarságáról és arról is, hogy miért került rovásírás és Nagy-Magyarország a kézilabdás lányok mezére.
Gellén András: Hogy 77 év múlva is megemlegessék!

De vajon mit értünk mi belőle? S mit szól fanatizmusához a családja, a környezete? Kérdéseimmel a személyiségét szerettem volna megérteni. Bemutatni nektek azt az embert, aki hét évet áldoz életéből, pénzéből – nekünk.
A gyökerek, avagy a múlt kötelez?
– Mielőtt belemerülnénk a kézilabdába, ismerjük meg a múltadat. Biztos vagyok benne, hogy nem Debrecenben, hanem egy kis faluban születtél. Tévedek?
– Debrecenben születtem, mindig is itt éltem. Ha messzi utakra kelek, pár nap múlva már hiányzik Debrecen. Városom nélkül nem tudnék létezni. Itt is fogok meghalni.
– Szüleid mivel foglalkoztak? Vagyonos emberek voltak? Sportszerető család a tiéd?
– Kétkezi munkások voltak, napról-napra éltünk. Szüleimet nem igazából érdekelte a sport.
– Figyeltem, néhány írásodban így írtad: MAGYARORSZÁG. A hazánk iránti átlagon felüli tisztelet, meg az érzés, ami a háttérben feszül meg benned, miből fakad?
– 1982-ben kaptam az első piros útlevelemet, azóta járom a Kárpát-medencét. Szememet mindig nyitva tartottam, nem csak néztem, hanem sokat is láttam! Azok, akik hasonló utat tettek meg, csak így írhatják: MAGYARORSZÁG!
– Mit jelent neked a "HAZA" szó? Ma, amikor az EU tagállama vagyunk, szerinted egységesebbek, összefogóbbak a határon innen és azon túl élő magyar emberek?
– A "Hazádnak rendületlenűl Légy híve, oh magyar" sorból a "RENDÜLETLENÜL" a legfontosabb, mivel az megkérdőjelezhetetlen, hogy mindenki híve hazájának úgy általánosságban, főleg a jobb időkben. A HAZA a minden, bár vannak, akik elhagyják vagy megcsalják. Szerintem az EU-ban egyre rosszabb a magyarság helyzete, olyat még elképzelni sem tudtam volna pár évvel ezelőtt, hogy magyar beszédért pénzbüntetést szabjanak ki, mint most a tótoknál.
– Platini "kukásmellényt" húzott magára, ezzel demonstrált a rasszizmus ellen. De amikor Dunaszerdahelyen magyar szurkolókat vertek, akkor nem tiltakozott, s az EU is becsukta szemét! Az EU nem oldja meg a határon túli magyarok helyzetét, pedig csak azokat a kisebbségi jogokat kellene szorgalmazni és megkövetelni most is, amit Trianonban önként vállaltak a megszálló hatalmak. Remélem, az euróövezet lassan bekövetkező felbomlása után megérem az egész EU összeomlását is.
– Kicsiny határon túli falvakban jársz-kelsz. Mi érdekel bennük? Hogy magyarok, hogy segítségre szorulnak, hogy szegények?
– Az érdekel, hogy miként tud fennmaradni egy közösség úgy, hogy a halálos ítéletet már régen kimondták rájuk. Nagyon érdekes ilyen helyeken a templom, a temető, egy-egy emlékmű, minden, ami magyarságlétüket bizonyítja. A szegénység általános, s egyre kevesebb gyerek születik.
– Mennyire vagy vallásos? Mit jelent neked Isten? Beszélsz erről is?
– Istenben hiszek, s mint ember megkaptam a szabad akaratot, hogy eldöntsem, hogy a jót, avagy a rosszat cselekedjem. Én próbálok jóra törekedni annak ellenére, hogy ez egyesekben ellenérzést szül.

– Érdekelne, hogy mi a véleménye a családodnak a kézilabdás szerepvállalásodról?
– Gyermekeim szeretik a kézilabdás nyüzsit, az anyukáik már nem igazán értik.
– A vagyonodról számos elképzelés született. Voltál maffiózó, szerencsejáték-gépező. Mindenféle feltételezések láttak napvilágot, de az igazságot kevesen tudják. Hogy jutottál erre a szintre?
– 1988. augusztus 16-án mentem be a munkakönyvemért a nyomdába. Azóta nem dolgoztam másnak. Csak valuta/deviza üzlettel foglalkoztam, árfolyammal kelek, fekszem. Az agyam teljesen ráállt az árfolyammozgásokra, nélkülük nem tudnék meglenni.
– Egy M.A. nevű újságíró – bár a neve tényleg érdektelen – mosolygó képpel írta a Népszabadságban: brávó, itt a bátor debreceni szittya-kuruc magyar! Egy végtelenül irritáló, primitív hangvételű cikk. Megviselt?
– Nagyon örültem neki! Visszajelzést kaptam, hogy tényleg jól dolgozom! Gusztustalan volt az egész, de mindenki szabadon elmondhatja/leírhatja véleményét. Persze kicsi hiányérzetem azért volt, mert ez az újságíró az MTK-szurkolók soproni zászlóbontásáról nem írt hasonló hangnemben, de talán legközelebb...
– Emberek, akik fittyet hánynak arra, hogy Te a saját pénzedet teszed be a csapatba. Emberek, akiket nem érdekel, hogy a magyar fiatalok képzése, menedzselése miért fontos. S miért baj a magyarságtudat?
– Nem baj a magyarságtudat, azoknak okoz problémát, akik más országok érdekeit képviselik. Azt szeretném, hogy a következő 1000 évet is itt éljék unokáink, akkor pedig elkerülhetetlen a pozitív diszkrimináció, amiben a magyar fiatalokat kell részesíteni.
– A rovásírásról is kellene beszélnünk. Fontos ez az életedben? S miért kell, hogy egy LOKI-játékos hátán ez legyen olvasható?
– A fontosabb rész elöl van! 2009. április harmadikától van a csajok mezén az a 8x8 cm, ami piros-fehér-zöldben Magyarország, benne Nap-Hold-Csillagok. Számomra ebben van benne minden, amiről már beszélgettünk. Kevesen tudják, hogy ez dacból került fel a csajokra! Talán minden komoly szurkolói csoportnak van Magyarország-drapija, amire évekig rendőrségi pecsét kellett, hogy lelátóra vihessék a fiúk. A debrecenin volt egy-egy sor "így volt..." "...így lesz" felirattal. A cenzorok csak úgy pecsételtek, hogy az "...így lesz" letakarásra került. Ezen nagyon felháborodtam, mivel a legkisebb temető bejáratánál is kint van az a felirat, hogy "feltámadunk", pedig temetnek ateistákat, kommunistákat is, akik nem hisznek ebben, mégsem kell letakarni ezeket a táblákat. Hogy miért kell a szurkolók hitét letakarni, azt abszolút nem értettem! Megígértem a fiúknak, hogy ha Magyarország nem lehet a lelátón, akkor én beviszem a pályára! Másfél év alatt sikerült...
– A rovásírást különböző korokban tűzzel-vassal irtották, most itt szaladgálnak vele lányaink. Ha itt akarunk még sokáig maradni a Kárpát-medencében, akkor a múltunkból mindent ápolni, gondozni kell, s megőrizni azt, ami megkülönböztet azoktól, akik csak átszállójegyet váltottak ide.
– Miért írsz a fórumba tulajdonosként? Fontosnak tartod, hogy meggyőzz embereket? Van valami pedagógia abban, hogy mindenkinek próbálod elmondani a véleményedet?
– Egyesek szerint ciki, amit csinálok. Ciki még olvasni is, mivel más tulajdonosoktól, vezetőktől, játékvezetőktől, netán szövetségi emberektől hallani, hogy ők igazán nem olvasták, csak szóltak nekik, hogy ezt meg ezt a "felháborító" dolgot írtam. Akkor pedig valaki csak elolvasta... Nekem ez az alap, hogy elmondom véleményemet, amivel nem feltétlenül muszáj mindenkinek egyetérteni. Viszont az eddigi egy évem alatt mindenben engem igazolt az idő.
Eddigi kérdéseimmel próbáltam megértetni többségi tulajdonosunk magánéletét, egyéniségét, csak azért, hogy némi magyarázatot kapjatok arra, miért nem olyan Ő, mint egy "rendes" csapattulajdonos. Innentől kezdve csak a kézilabdával foglalkozunk: a régi nagyokkal, s a mai kedvencekkel...
