Rovásírás a Kossuth Rádióban (+Interjú)

Róna-Tas András nyelvész-turkológus az MR1 Kossuth Rádió Tér-Idő című műsorában a rovásírás sajátosságairól és történeti jelentőségéről beszélt. Bár egy-egy résszel nem teljesen értünk egyet, örülünk, hogy a közszolgálati médiumokban egyre többet foglalkoznak őseink írásával, és elismerik jelenlétét történelmünkben.

A műsorban 20:50-től hallhatjuk a rovásírásról szóló részt.

Az interjú szövege:

R.T.A.: Ezt én székely rovásírásnak szoktam nevezni, mert minden olyan emléke, amelyik a Székelyföldön kívül van, arról bebizonyítható, hogy a Székelyföldre megy vissza. Na most a székelység megtartott – kétségtelen – egyfajta rovásírás emléket, amelyiknek a története nagyon régre megy vissza. Ez tényleg egy nagyon régi írás, abban nincsen kétség.

Ennek az írásnak a történetének van egy olyan szakasza, amikor még nem a magyar nyelvhez használták. Ez a rovásírás a magyar nyelv használatával átalakult és akkor ennek az írásnak volt egy esélye arra, hogy ugyanolyan fontos legyen, mint a latin. De később az egyház nyomására a latin írás az elterjedt és néhány helyen voltak olyanok, akik mind a két írást használták.

Na most ennek után' a latin írás hatására átalakult rovásírás ez egy nagyon-nagyon kis területen, néhány embernek a tudása volt, míg azután ezt az írást föl nem fedezték újra és egy Telegdi nevű úr elkezdte terjeszteni ezt, hogy ez legyen vagy lehet a magyarok írása. Ez ugye a törökkel, de inkább az osztrákokkal szemben egy fontos ellenállás volt.

Egyesek szerint már Mátyás korában volt egy ilyen fellángolás, ami utána elhalványult, mások szerint – a legújabb vélemény szerint – Mátyásék találták ki a rovásírást. Ez nem igaz, de használták a rovásírást, mert Mátyás korában is volt egy ilyen reneszánsza annak, hogy a régi dolgokat is felfedezik és használják.

Riporter: De ugye a rovásírás azért rovásírás, mert beleróják, belevésik valamibe, vagy ennek – mondjuk Mátyás korában más változata is élhetett, amit írni lehet, úgy mint a latin betűket?

R.T.A.: A rovásírás egy technika, rovásírás sokfajta van a világon, aminek nincs semmi köze a magyarhoz sem, tehát a rovásírás nem létezik, csak a székely rovásírás az egyfajta rovásírás. Van egy török rovásírás, van egy germán rovásírás, egy etruszk rovásírás. Ezek egy kicsit hasonlítanak egymáshoz, azért mert mindegyiket elvileg és régen fába rótták késsel. Na most, mikor aztán elkezdték a papírt használni írásra, még azokat a rovás fajtákat használták egy darabig, amelyeket a fába vésve lehetett készíteni, aztán lassanként ez az írás elkezdett a kéz alá gömbölyödni, hogy úgy mondjam.

Ami a rovásírásnak a kb. XV. századi változatát illeti, ezek nagy része már akkor úgy voltak vésve, hogy rendszerint templomok bejáratánál kőbe vésték őket, tehát nem fába. Ami fába lett vésve, ezek megszűntek, ezek között véletlenül maradt fenn az a híres Marsigli-féle leírás azt se tudjuk a pálcát eredetiben, nem ismerjük de a Marsigli pontos rajzolatát tudjuk. Aztán később ezek papírra íródtak. Egy dolgot azonban meg kell jegyeznem.
